Warwick-Edinburgh mental iyi oluş ölçeği: Öğretmenler için Türkçe formunun geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması

Abstract

Çalışmada Warwick-Edinburgh Mental İyi Oluş Ölçeği’nin (WEMİOÖlçeği) Türk öğretmenlerden oluşan 348 kişilik bir grup üzerinde geçerlik ve güvenirliği incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı var olan bir faktör yapısının farklı bir kültüre ve dile uyarlanışı olduğu için doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile ölçeğin model uyumu test edilmiş ve yapı geçerliliği değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada X2/sd oranı 4,01; RMSEA=0,09; GFI= 0,89; AGFI= 0,85; RMR= 0,045; SRMR= 0,063 olarak bulunmuş; CFI, NFI, NNFI, IFI ve RFI değerlerinin ise 0,90’ın üzerinde olduğu görülmüştür. Gözlenen değişkenlere ilişkin en düşük t değeri 6,75; en yüksek t değeri ise 17,55’dir. En düşük madde faktör yük değeri 0,37; en yüksek yük değeri ise 0,80'dir. WEMİO-Ölçeği’ne ilişkin DFA sonuçları incelendiğinde ölçme aracının 14 maddeden oluşan tek boyutlu yapısının Türkiye’de öğretmenlerin mental iyi oluş düzeylerini belirlemede bir model olarak doğrulandığı söylenebilir. Araştırma sonuçları WEMİOÖlçeği’nin orijinal formunun faktör yapısıyla Türk öğretmenlerden oluşan grup üzerinde uygulanan Türkçe’ye uyarlanmış formunun faktör yapısının örtüştüğünü göstermektedir. Güvenirlik çalışmalarında WEMİO-Ölçeği’nin Cronbach's Alfa iç tutarlık güvenirlik katsayısı ölçme aracının bütününde 0,87 bulunmuştur. Test tekrar test güvenirliği kararlılık katsayısı ise 0,79’dur. Bu sonuçlar, ölçme aracının güvenilir olduğunu göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak Warwick-Edinburgh Mental İyi Oluş Ölçeği’nin 14 maddeden oluşan tek boyutlu yapısının Türkiye’de öğretmenlerin mental iyi oluş düzeylerini belirlemede kullanılabilecek güvenilir ve geçerli bir araç olduğu söylenebilir.

In the study, the validity and reliability of the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS) on a group of 348 Turkish teachers were examined. Because the purpose of the study is to adapt an existing factor structure to a different culture and language, the model fit of the scale was tested by confirmatory factor analysis and then structural validity the scale was assessed. X2/sd ratio in the study is 4.01; RMSEA= 0,09; GFI= 0,89; AGFI= 0,85; RMR= 0,045; SRMR= 0,063; CFI, NFI, NNFI, IFI and RFI values were found to be above 0,90. The minimum t-value is 6,75 and the maximum one is 17,55 for the observed variables. The least item factor loading is 0,37 and the biggest one is 0,80. According to the confirmatory factor analysis results of the scale, the 14-item and onedimensional structure of the scale was validated as a model to determine the mental well-being levels of teachers in Turkey. The results of the study show that the factorial structure of the Turkish form of WEMWBS applied on a group of Turkish teachers overlaps the factor structure of the original form of the WEMWBS. Internal consistency reliability coefficient (Cronbach's Alpha) of the WEMWBS was found to be 0,87. The test-retest reliability coefficient is 0,79. These results show that the measuring tool is reliable. As a result, the 14-item and one-dimensional structure of the WEMWBS is a valid and reliable scale that can be used to measure the mental well-being levels of teachers in Turkey.
